From text to media-art

I made the start in my professional life in the area of text. I have been working as co-writer for film and television for Bayern Television and ARD. In parallel, I have received orders for advertising texts and arrived in a renown advertising agency in Munich. There I learned from the best the craft of text writing and the advertising concept in every media: Printing, Radio and Television. In the last year of activity in the agency I occupied the position of a “creative director”.
Still, I retired to be a freelancer and started working individually. As a developer of textual concepts I have worked with many illustrators, also, freelancers.

And it was then that the new medias appeared!

For me these represented a paradise of creativity, because in the early 90s this field was still very new. There were almost no rules, except for those we would make up for ourselves. During this period, appeared interactive multimedia projects with pioneering work. I used to write scripts for art and commercial projects, working closely with illustrators and programmers I also would have attributions of creative director. Some of my projects received international awards.

In the middle 90s I discovered by graphic skill. I started to accomplish also visually artistic projects on the internet. It went very smoothly, as I have worked from the every beginning with illustrators and thus I have acquired the skills of an illustrator. In order to accomplish my independent artistic works, I had to acquire basic programming skills.

These vast experiences are very useful for me here, on Lanzarote! Ever since 2006 I have been working as “Autonomo” in the textual and design field. Based on my long experience and my know-how in various fields, I have developed here, on Lanzarote, demanding projects. The name “digitalART” emphasizes it.
